Learn about the lives of those who lived at Wentworth Woodhouse including the Second Marquess of Rockingham (the first Yorkshire Prime Minister) and the Earl of Strafford – who quite literally lost his head!

  • The Wentworth History Tour runs for approximately 70 minutes.
  • The Wentworth History Tour explores the State Rooms at Wentworth Woodhouse. It is the ideal tour for first time visitors to the House.
  • Your tour ticket includes House & Gardens general admission on the day of your tour (typically £15.50). Subject to opening dates and times.

Accessibility

A temporary lift (available until 31 December 2025) provides access to the first-floor State Rooms for visitors with mobility impairments. A staff member or volunteer will accompany visitors using the lift.  For queries, contact info@wentworthwoodhouse.org.uk.
