Join our volunteer researchers, Caroline and Jonny, as they guide you through a focused tour of the Van Dyck paintings on display here at Wentworth Woodhouse. Explore the artist’s work and his relationship with Thomas Wentworth, 1st Earl of Strafford. Discover new insights and stories that go beyond the interpretation boards, shedding light on art, politics, and power in 17th-century England. The tour ticket includes same day House & Garden General Admission for you to explore the exhibition further at your own leisure.

Accessibility

Due to the age and nature of the House, some areas of this tour are only accessible via stairs and there are some uneven surfaces.

A temporary lift (available until 31 December 2025) provides access to the first-floor State Rooms and exhibition space for visitors with mobility impairments. A staff member or volunteer will accompany visitors using the lift.  For queries, contact info@wentworthwoodhouse.org.uk.
