From Monday 29th June to Friday 3rd July, we will be installing our new exhibition, Echoes of the House: Stories in Light and Motion, around the State Rooms. Please note, the Ante Room will be closed during this time and the Whistlejacket Room will only be available to view from outside of the room. Thank you for your patience during this exciting time. 

Here at Wentworth Woodhouse, we are working hard to make our visitor experience accessible for all as we develop and regenerate the site.

Echoes of the House: Stories in Light and Motion will reimagine Wentworth Woodhouse’s State Rooms as a prism of memories this summer/autumn season using immersive digital storytelling that blends historic cinematic devices – from zoetropes to magic lanterns – with contemporary art installations.

Explore the State Rooms where layered narratives – historic, contemporary, personal and communal – collide through light and projection.

Accessibility

A temporary lift provides access to the first-floor State Rooms for visitors with mobility impairments. A staff member or volunteer will accompany visitors using the lift. For queries, contact info@wentworthwoodhouse.org.uk.
