Tuesday 1st December to Sunday 3rd January, Various Times

This Christmas, Wonderland is coming to Wentworth Woodhouse!

The magnificent State Rooms will be transformed into Alice in Wentworth Wonderland, where you can follow Alice down the rabbit hole and discover a magical world filled with festive decorations, curious characters and wonderful surprises.

Step into a world where nothing is quite as it seems and embark on your own adventure through the grand rooms of Wentworth Woodhouse. Wander through the Room of Doors, discover the Hall of Hearts, follow the trail of Drink Me and Eat Me, and make your way Down the Rabbit hole before arriving at the wonderfully whimsical Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

Along the way, there are plenty of opportunities to stop, explore and get involved. Look out for curious details, try your hand at Wonderland-inspired games, dress up and capture plenty of magical photo moments and family selfies to remember your adventure by.

On selected dates, the Wonderland experience will become even more immersive, with live actors and interactive moments creating a wonderfully curious atmosphere as you explore the transformed State Rooms.

With festive decorations, playful surprises and plenty to see and do, Alice in Wentworth Wonderland is a Christmas adventure designed to create memorable moments for the whole family.

But the adventure doesn’t stop there! We have a programme of Alice-themed activities taking place throughout the season, including our Mad Hatter’s Tea Party (family friendly or adults only!) and Alice-themed storytelling sessions, alongside a packed programme of events as part of Winter at Wentworth.

From festive workshops (see Wreath making and Festive Table Decoration workshops), to Christmas shopping at Goldsmiths North, plus special performances, including A Christmas Carol by Gerald Dickens, the great-great-grandson of Charles Dickens, there’s plenty more to discover. Some events are likely to sell out, so don’t leave it too late!

So, whatever you do, don’t be late… Wentworth Wonderland awaits!
