Here at Wentworth Woodhouse, we are working hard to make our visitor experience accessible for all as we develop and regenerate the site.

To help you plan your visit, please note the following temporary closures and adjustments to your visit:

Saturday 4th October

  • Gardens – Closed
  • The House, Butler’s Pantry Café, Gift Shop, Afternoon Tea and The Camellia House will remain open as usual, 10.00am-5.00pm.

Sunday 5th October

  • Rotherham 10k Race taking place in the morning. Some road closures are expected, please allow extra time for your journeys.

Friday 10th October | Black Diamonds Ball

We will be setting up for our major fundraising event – the Black Diamonds Ball in some of our State Rooms throughout the day. Contemporary art piece, Final Boss, by Bruce Asbestos from our House of Fun Exhibition will not be in situ in the Marble Saloon.

Saturday 11th October | Black Diamonds Ball

  • State Rooms – Closed
  • The Butler’s Pantry Café, Gardens and Gift Shop will remain open as usual.

The State Rooms will be closed as we prepare for our major annual fundraising event, the Black Diamonds Ball.

Friday 17th to Sunday 19th October | Adventure Cinema

  • Gardens – Closed at 4.00pm

Thursday 16th October to Friday 7th November | Screamtime

  • Gardens – Closed at 4.00pm

For the first time ever, ​​​​​Screamtime is coming to Wentworth Woodhouse. This is the ultimate after-dark scare experience for thrill-seekers and horror fans. You may notice set-up for the event taking place including some light projections on to the House and sound effects on the route from the House to the car park.

Tuesday 2nd December to Sunday 4th January | The Snow Queen

During our Christmas 2025 event, The Snow Queen, the Gardens will close at 4.00pm. The Butler’s Pantry Café will remain open with last food orders at 7.00pm, and last drinks orders at 7.30pm. The Library Lounge will also remain open with last orders at 7.30pm. Our Gift Shop will be open from 10.00am-7.30pm (4.00pm on 24th & 31st December) to get those last-minute gifts and stocking fillers.
