Monday 5th to Monday 12th January
- Full Site Closure
Wentworth Woodhouse will take a brief winter break next month, closing from Monday 5th January, and re-opening as usual from Tuesday 13th January, refreshed and ready for 2026.
Tuesday 13th to Friday 16th January
- Van Dyck Room & Ante Room – Closed
Thanks to generous funding from the Foyle Foundation, we’re installing new picture rails and enhanced exhibition lighting in the Van Dyck Room and Ante Room. These upgrades will make it possible for us to continue hosting exhibitions that feature world-class art.
For the safety of our visitors, those two rooms will be closed during this period, and House & Gardens admission will be discounted to £10.00.
All other State Rooms remain open, including:
- Ship Room
- Painted Drawing Room
- Marble Saloon
- Whistlejacket Room
- State Corridor
- Statuary Room
- State Dining Room
- Plus access to the Gardens
- Tours will also continue with a slightly amended route, and the Butler’s Pantry will be open as usual.
Tuesday 20th & Wednesday 21st January
- Van Dyck Room & Ante Room – Closed
We’re delighted to welcome a new exhibition by Jennifer Vanderpool into the upper State Rooms. To install the work safely, the Van Dyck Room and Ante Room will again be temporarily unavailable.
On the 20th and 21st of January, House & Gardens admission will be discounted to £10.00, with full access maintained to the majority of our rooms and the Gardens.
Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding during this exciting time. We can’t wait to welcome you to Wentworth Woodhouse soon!
