So much awaits when you book an Open Gardens day. Every Wednesday to Sunday, head to Wentworth Woodhouse to discover a wildflower meadow, ancient trees, shaded woodland copses, 18th-century follies and monuments.
Roam at your leisure – well-behaved dogs are welcome – or follow a visitor’s route which begins at the Mansion and takes in the West Terrace.
Don’t miss the sweeping views from the Ha-Ha and South Terrace, and be sure to head to the Ionic Temple and Camellia House.
There’s an arty theme too, with sculptures by renowned artists to discover.
The Flock’s 10,000 hand-painted wooden birds have taken over the East Front lawns – a moving communal artwork recording your feelings on the Covid-19 pandemic.
Garden admission tickets can be booked online or bought at the house.
Winter Opening Hours: Gardens open at 10am and close at 4pm, with last entry at 2.30pm, Wednesday to Sunday.
