Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust does not permit the use of drones in the House itself and/or Gardens.

Wentworth Woodhouse will only permit the use of professional drone equipment under an authorised license for marketing or commercial filming purposes.

Drone Flying by Visitors or the General Public

We do not permit the flying of drones for personal use for the following reasons:

  • To protect the House and visitors from any damage or harm – the general public rarely have the adequate or correct insurances to cover those affected.
  • The presence of drones can disturb the peace and tranquility of the visitor experience.
  • We hope to protect the resident wildlife on-site and avoid any unnecessary alarm or distress.

Commercial Filming

We may grant permission for commercial drone filming for marketing purposes or from recognised production companies as part of a wider project here at Wentworth Woodhouse.

For more information on commercial drone filming and to make an enquiry, please email marketing@wentworthwoodhouse.org.uk.
