As scaffolding begins to climb up the facade of the South Pavilion of Wentworth Woodhouse, the enormous weathervane which crowns it has been removed so that essential roof repairs to the Pavilion can start.
We take an up-close look at the weathervane in the first of a series of videos that will document its restoration. If all goes according to plan, work on the weathervane and the South Pavilion roof should be completed by the summer of 2022 and we’ll bring you regular video updates and features as work progresses.
