If you watched last year’s BBC documentary, Our Yorkshire Stately Home, or visit the Butler’s Pantry Café with your furry friends, there’s a good chance you’ll be familiar with Brasso Dave. Dave is one of our veteran volunteers, a master of all things polished, and can turn his hand to just about anything!
Dave has recently been busy tinkering in his workshop, turning his talents to create a series of limited edition industrial lamps to help raise crucial funds for the Trust. Each one is handmade using repurposed solid brass sink filters, salvaged from the Bedlam wing of the House, and mounted on a recycled mahogany base, complete with a polished silver Wentworth Woodhouse plaque.
Only 14 lamps will be made and, if demand is high (which we think it will be!), there may be a short wait while Dave completes them by hand. But to own a genuine piece of Wentworth Woodhouse and honour the hands that keep it shining – we think it’s well worth the wait!
The lamps are being sold for £250.00 and collection is preferred.
If you are interested in reserving one, please get in touch with our fundraising team via fundraising@wentworthwoodhouse.org.uk. Don’t miss out on this exciting piece!
