It’s no secret that mining history and heritage is intertwined with us here at Wentworth Woodhouse, and in the surrounding areas across Yorkshire. With the dawn of the first ever RHS Flower Show at Wentworth Woodhouse, landscape designer, Chris Myers, brought history home with his creative installation, The Miner’s Garden. As featured on Gardeners’ World, The Miner’s Garden was a huge success. Drawn to the local story, and connections of personal history and heritage, visitors queued to see Myers’ design.
Now, thanks to Chris, you can take a piece of RHS history home with you. Chris has very kindly donated three of the structures from The Miner’s Garden to raise funds for the Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust. These structures are all quirky, charming, and unique, and would make a fantastic addition to any garden. The structures are:
- SOLD | The Green House* – Suggested donation: £200.00
- SOLD | The Shed* – Suggested donation: £200.00
- The Rabbit Hutch – Suggested donation: £50.00
This is a time-limited, rare opportunity.
Anyone who would like to donate for one of these unique structures will need to email campaigns@wentworthwoodhouse.org.uk who will respond with a Just Giving link to claim your item/s.
Structures are sold on a first-come-first-served basis and must be collected by Friday 25 July from Wentworth Woodhouse.
We are not able to offer delivery of these items.
*As these items were created for the RHS Flower Show, and intended to be installed temporarily, the Green House and the Shed will need additional bracing to ensure their longevity.
