Friday to Sunday, 11.00am
Step beneath the grandeur of Wentworth Woodhouse and uncover a hidden world rarely seen by visitors. Secrets of the Cellars invites you into one of the House’s most requested and intriguing spaces – its historic underground chambers.
Explore the fascinating layers of history beneath your feet as you discover not only what survives today, but what once filled these atmospheric rooms. This unique tour reveals a striking contrast between the expansive, purpose-built storage areas of the mid-18th century and the earlier, more intimate and irregular spaces dating back to the early 1600s.
From grand design to hidden corners, the cellars tell a story of evoluntion, function, and daily life behind-the-scenes of a great House.
