Wednesday 4th to Sunday 29th December

For Christmas 2024, we are taking you back in time for a yuletide treat based on the classic poem A Visit from St. Nicholas – an enchanting visitor-led experience through the State Rooms and a magical light trail in the West Front Gardens.

Enjoy a festive delight inspired by the traditional poem, featuring mice, sugar plums and stockings hung by the chimney with care! Expect more magic, more lights and even bigger smiles as you join us for a Christmas to remember!

Reviews of Christmas 2023

“We did the house and light trail and thoroughly enjoyed it! The house story was very clever and something completely different from other Christmas events at houses we’ve attended. The Light Trail was incredible, lots of attention to detail and magical. This was our first visit to Wentworth Woodhouse and it won’t be out last, thank you!”

“The Christmas Event ‘A Tale as Old as Time’ is a must. Been today on a wet and miserable day but the Light Trail in the Gardens was magical. The volunteers were so friendly and helpful. It was an amazing experience.”

“A fantastic afternoon/evening. It was a great story inside, and the rooms were amazing. Outside is fantastic with the lights everywhere… There was even an outdoor train to ride on. I’m going to take the whole family next year.”

“It was fabulous, inside and out. Well done, Wentworth Woodhouse!”
