At the heart of Wentworth Woodhouse is the magnificent Marble Saloon; a 60ft square work of art. The Marble Saloon was the entrance for royalty and has hosted some of the house’s most extravagant balls. Now you can host your special day in the most exclusive area in the house.
The room features 18 iconic fluted pillars created in scagliola; the columns were created in stunning sienna and highlighted with white marble bases and pedestals. The walls feature reliefs designed by the notable James Stuart. The ceilings were crafted by Jonathan & Joseph Rose; their design was then reflected in the unique marble flooring.
Leading off the Marble Saloon there are several state rooms all of which are as exquisite as the next; Whistle Jacket a stunning white and gold room that once hosted the famous Whistle Jacket painting by George Stubbs and now features a copy of the famous masterpiece; is a regal room which can host up to 150 people in its gilded walls.
Van Dyke State Room of white and gold design but has a feature unlike any other; a stunning Waterford crystal chandelier which glistens as bright as the day it was commissioned. Our State Dining Room features beautiful peppermint and white wall with stunning views of the East front Vista.
Our Long Gallery is one of the most stunning rooms in the house with a beautiful view of the West Gardens with a stunning feature window through which you and your guests can enter into the gardens.
